Hello from the LWML Leader Development Committee

Welcome to our link on the LWML website. We are a committee who seeks to Follow The Leader, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We serve with confidence knowing He will lead and guide us as we read in Psalm 25:5a NIV: “Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are my God and Savior.”

Our committee's objective this biennium is:
Women are aware of available user-friendly resources through LWML and able to easily access them to support their leadership development and mentoring relationships.

What are you doing to help LWML women become more competent and comfortable in their leadership roles?  How have you helped a young woman grow and mature in the LWML as a potential leader?

Primary Targets

• Growing in the Lord
  Through intentional study of the Word, women of today find guidance for their lives and are encouraged in their personal daily walk with the Lord.

• Embracing Our Diversity
  The body of Christ grows and is strengthened when sisters of every age, class, culture, and ethnic group are sought out to participate actively in the mission of LWML.

• Sharing the Heart and Identity of LWML
  LWML enables and equips its members and advocates to share with others the vision and direction of LWML as it emphasizes mission outreach locally and globally.
  

Purpose Statement

The purpose of the Leader Development Committee is to support and encourage present and future leaders.

Committee Objective

1. Women are aware of available user-friendly resources through LWML and able to easily access them to support their leadership development and mentoring relationships.

LWML Mission Statement:  The mission of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League is to assist each woman of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry to the people of the world.
