The trees in Michigan are shedding their beautiful leaves. What a blessing to watch each season shed its beauty to make way for the next season! Thanks be to God for his inexpressable gift! (2 Corinthians 9:15), runs through my mind as I enjoy the changes.
We have moved from a seasonal focus on thankfulness into Advent — a focus on the birth of our Savior. To Christians, each season offers beauty and reasons to be thankful. Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 5:20).
Being a part of LWML is a blessing, inspiring a Christ-centered framework for servant activities, fellowship opportunities, and conversations with others. Assisting with funeral luncheons, fundraisers, cards for shut-ins, and other mission projects, we are Lutheran Women (and Men) in Mission. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace (1 Peter 4:10). We are blessed to serve.
Thank you, Lord, for the seasonal opportunities to serve.
