LWML Prayer Service 2010
“BEAUTIFUL FEET”
Authored by Reverend Philip Esala
“Beautiful Feet” is the theme of the 2010 LWML Prayer Service. Based on one of the 2009 Portland LWML Convention theme verses (Isaiah 52:7), this service will bring LWML members and friends together in prayer and praise.
Participants are encouraged to read through the service for advance preparation, if possible, prior to the day of the prayer service.
Instructions are included within the body of the prayer service. An optional offering may be gathered.
The Reverend Philip Esala authored this service to provide our readership the encouragement to spend time in prayer, to look for opportunities to share the good news of Jesus with people in our communities in everyday situations, proclaiming the peace only He provides as He brings us salvation.
He serves as Senior Pastor of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Kettering, Ohio. He attended Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, while working as attorney for The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod Foundation and as Assistant States Attorney in Illinois. Pastor Phil and his wife Deb are blessed to be the parents of four children.
2010 Prayer Service and Convention Theme Verse
Isaiah 52:7 How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!”
Goal Statement
Confident that my God reigns as Creator, Redeemer, and Sanctifier, I share His love and peace with others.
